In this guide we will go through the use of the staging tool in your my.snappyhost.co.uk control panel to both create a staging site and clone it to the live version. Don't have a WordPress package? Check out the WordPress plans here: https://snappyhost.co.uk/wordpress-hosting/

1). First login to your my.snappyhost.co.uk account and select either "services" , "My services" on the left of the screen, or "Services" In the center.

2). You will then need to select the site you wish to create the Staging area on from your list of services (select the 3 dots).

3). Our first step is making the staging accessible. To do so you will first need to go to the subdomain section by scrolling down on the left bar.

4). Now select "Create subdomain" and set it as "staging" with the document root set earlier (staging_html). Once this is done you have successfully created your staging site! This can be accessed via staging.yourdomain or the subdomain you set in this section.

5). Select the WordPress option from the "Manage account" section.

6). Click on the 3 dots on the right to get the further options regarding the tools.

7). Select 'Create Staging' from the new menu.

8). Select 'staging.yourdomain' from the drop-down, then remove the 'Directory' section which by default is "public_html". Then replace the numbers at the end of the database name or create a random one (e.g. wp656 can change to wp9345 . Once this is done you have successfully created your staging site! This can be accessed via staging.yourdomain or the subdomain you set in this section.

Cloning back to live

1) Go back to the applications section shown in step 6 of the creation section, select the dots on the right side of the staging application and then "clone to live". This will automatically bring over the staging sites changes to your main domain.
